For the launch of Dino Run 2, we plan to have 9 excellent playable dino types:
Each dino class will have its own strengths and weaknesses. We will likely have class races, sensible groupings of dinosaurs that are well balanced to race against one another.
Ideally, we would be able to allow all dino types to compete in the same races, but this may prove impossible while maintaining some degree of realism to the relative speeds of the dino types.
Beyond launch of the game, we eventually would love to add more and more playable dinosaur types ( and are happy to accept requests. :)

The original Dino Run is famous for its dino customizations - a huge variety of hats and masks for the original playable Velociraptor.
For Dino Run 2, each class of dinosaur and pterosaur will have a unique feature that will be customizable. In the case of the Pterosaur class, changing your look will effectively change the Ptero type you’re playing with, and nature provides a great amount of variety for us to work with.
Here are a few examples of the sorts of Pterosaur customizations we pan to include. Squawwwwwk!

The brand new DINO RUN 2 Kickstarter campaign has launched!
We’re super excited to be moving forward with the making of Dino Run 2 once again.
Development of the engine will be in Unity, with new dinos, new environments, new artwork, new customizations, new music, new features and robust physics, online multiplayer (of course) and more. We’ve got big plans for the continuing evolution of the Dino Run universe if this is successful.
